The GLF was pleased to play an active role at BATIC 2026, hosted by GLF Board Member Telin, as global telco leaders, technology innovators, and decision-makers gathered in Bali to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore the trends shaping the future of connectivity.

The GLF Lounge: A Hub for Leaders in Connectivity

At the heart of our presence was the GLF Lounge, an exclusive space created for high-level networking, focused meetings, and meaningful industry conversations. Throughout BATIC 2026, the Lounge brought together GLF members and global stakeholders to explore opportunities, share perspectives, and strengthen relationships across the international connectivity community.

From scheduled one-to-one meetings to informal exchanges, the Lounge provided a valuable setting for collaboration and reinforced the GLF’s role as a trusted convenor for senior leaders across the digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Inspiring the Next Generation: The Future Tech Leaders Summit

Alongside the Lounge, GLF partnered with Telin to deliver the Future Tech Leaders Summit, bringing together emerging professionals under 35 from across the global ICT ecosystem for a half-day programme focused on the future of digital infrastructure.

Led by Kharisma, Chief Commercial Officer at Telin, and Rodney Kinchington, Regional Managing Director, APJC, BT International, the session explored how the next generation of leaders can help build the end-to-end digital infrastructure required for the connected AI era.

Through executive insights and interactive group discussions, participants explored how AI is transforming connectivity demand and considered practical, collaborative approaches to delivering AI-grade infrastructure end to end.

Closed-Door Leadership Forum

A further highlight for GLF at BATIC 2026 was the private, invitation-only Leadership Forum co-hosted with Telin. The session brought together senior BATIC executives to align on the infrastructure, financing, and policy collaboration needed to support AI-era connectivity across Asia-Pacific and global routes. Discussions explored how AI is reshaping traffic and capacity demand, the investment models required to finance AI-ready infrastructure, and the high-impact coordination opportunities that could create value across the ecosystem.
